This piece features a silver denarius dating back to 42 BC.

The ancient Roman coin features the iconic “M ANTONI IMP” portrait on one side and a radiant bust of SOL within a triangular temple on the reverse inspiring the setting of a trillion cut 0.27ct diamond.

 

In 42 BC  Marc Antoni was still in power in Rome.

He and Octavian defeated at Philippi Brutus and Cassius, the assassins of Julius Caesar that happened in 44 bce.
